What is New Tech High School?
Videos from New Tech High Schools Here are some videos that were made by New Tech High Schools that may help you understand how New Tech is different from a "regular" high school.
What is New Tech High School? New Tech High Schools are small high schools of 400 total students that use technology to facilitate project-based learning for the students they serve with a one-to-one student-to-computer ratio.    The core elements of the New Tech High School are Technology That Enables, Culture That Empowers and Teaching That Engages.  These schools make great strides to connect students with their communities through the projects they create.

  • Still Accepting Applications
We are continuing to take applications for the 2010/2011 school year. There are still spots available for the Class of 2013. We encourage you to fill out our application and return it as soon as possible. The class of 2014 has met its limit for the fall. However, applications are still being accepted and date/time stamped for our waiting list. Students will be placed on a first come, first serve basis. There was a recent blog in the Press and Argus stating that New Tech was for Gifted and Talented students only. I would like to take this opportunity to...
  • PARENT MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26TH @ 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 26th at 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. we will be hosting a New Tech Parent meeting in the High School Media Center. This will be an opportunity to meet our team, explore courses for our students, answer more questions and begin collaborating on our school community and parent partnerships.
  • Test Out
Several questions have come up regarding Testing Out of courses in New Tech. By state law, we must offer this option. Our solution is to recommend that students interested in testing out go for it! If enough students test out of an integrated course, we will offer a project based non-integrated second year course or students may take this course outside of New Tech. This will enable students to advance and free elective opportunities their junior and senior years where they can take more college or AP courses as they wish. Good Luck from the New Tech Team!
  • MEET THE TEACHERS!
The New Tech Planning Team would like to announce the teachers of New Tech! Jesse Cogswell, Joel Craig, Jakob Gailitis, Matt Jerome, Carrie Kempf, Rich Lamb, Michalle Meyers, Angela Mosey, Chris Ozias and Stacy Trosin are the teachers who have been selected to be a part of the Pinckney New Technology High School. Keep watching this site for more information!!!
